What is the Eyelid Surgery process like?

Before the surgery, it may be necessary for men to take a vision test as well as a medical evaluation to see if eyelid surgery may be right for them. A local anesthetic can be used to numb the treatment area and the area surrounding the eyes. Your surgeon will create small incisions along the creases of the upper eyelids and beneath the lower eyelashes on the bottom eyelid. Any sagging skin will be trimmed, and fat will be removed once the skin has been disconnected from the muscles and underlying tissue. The incisions will then be sealed with fine sutures.

What can I expect following Eyelid surgery?

Our medical personnel will provide you with postoperative instructions that we strongly advise you to follow. Some instructions may include keeping your head leveled or elevated and using a cold compress to reduce possible bruising or swelling. For men who wear contacts, we advise you to avoid wearing them for two weeks. The recovery period for eyelid surgery can take approximately 10 days.

Droopy or baggy eyelids can not only affect your look but may also endanger your health by impairing your vision. Don’t let excessive eyelid skin bring down your confidence and keep you from leaving a great impression on those around you. Request a consultation today and find out if eyelid surgery is your key to improved vision and achieving a sophisticated look!
