How BOTOX Is Measured

Before we explore how much BOTOX you’ll need, it’s helpful to address how we measure BOTOX to achieve your naturally stunning results. BOTOX is measured in units, and each syringe of BOTOX contains 50 or 100 units. Your age, gender, skin condition, muscle strength, and treatment goals factor into how much BOTOX we inject. Each treatment is highly customized, and the more BOTOX we inject, the more your procedure costs. We may also recommend combining your BOTOX injections with dermal fillers—a combination often called a liquid facelift—to address wrinkles and volume loss.

How Much BOTOX Do I Need?

1. Forehead

Patients concerned about horizontal forehead lines are often ideal candidates for BOTOX injections. The number of BOTOX units you’ll need for the forehead usually depends on the severity of your “worry lines.” Our goal is to relax the muscles to help you look more alert and refreshed.

How many units of BOTOX for forehead: We typically administer 10 to 30 units of BOTOX for forehead lines.

2. Crow’s Feet

While they’re not as deep as forehead lines, the small lines and wrinkles that form around the corners of your eyes are usually among the first visible signs of aging. Crow’s feet result from repeated expressions like laughing and squinting as well as sun exposure. Your dosage depends on the depth of your crow’s feet, the thickness of the skin, and a variety of other factors.

How many units of BOTOX for crow’s feetTypically, it takes about 5 to 15 units of BOTOX per side to treat crow’s feet.

3. Glabellar Lines (11s)

Are you familiar with glabellar lines, also known as the 11s? Their nickname derives from the vertical lines that inevitably develop between your eyebrows as you age. When repeated muscle movements like frowning and squinting make these lines more pronounced, it’s time to consult with our Results MedSpa team about BOTOX.

How many units of BOTOX for 11 lines: While everyone’s symptoms are unique, many patients require about 20 to 40 units of BOTOX to address the 11s.

4. Lip Flip

The BOTOX lip flip is taking TikTok by storm, and it’s trending right here in Guilford and Mystic, too! To accomplish a lip flip, we use smaller injections to relax the upper lip muscles, prompting the lip to flip or curl upward. This makes the upper lip appear plumper.

How many units of BOTOX for lip flip: The amount of BOTOX required for a natural-looking lip flip is usually 4 to 6 units.

When safely and artfully administered by an experienced injector, BOTOX injections can help you turn back the clock without surgery! Request a consultation with our skilled injectors online or call us at (203) 689-5295 to start your transformation!
