Want to Slim Down After Lockdown? Try CoolSculpting®

Guilford, CT CoolSculpting®

Many of us are now indoors every day due to COVID-19 and lockdowns. It can be hard to stay in shape and follow a healthy diet when your schedule and routine have changed so dramatically. Men and women across the country have found themselves gaining weight in 2020—an issue dubbed the “quarantine 15.”

If your body has changed during quarantine and affected your self-confidence, don’t worry, you’re not alone and you have some helpful options. For instance, body contouring with CoolSculpting® has helped countless New Haven, CT, women and men slim down and feel better about their appearance.

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a nonsurgical fat reduction treatment that freezes away fat cells. After the fat cells are destroyed, the body naturally eliminates them over the next 1 to 3 months. As the fat cells are removed, the target area visibly reduces in size, and unwanted rolls and curves begin to shrink.

What areas can CoolSculpting treat?

CoolSculpting works best on any “pinchable” area of fat resistant to diet and exercise. It is typically used for slimming the lower abdomen, but it can also be used along the thighs, flanks, back, and upper arms. Many problem areas with trendy nicknames—such as “banana rolls” or “muffin tops”—can be directly treated by CoolSculpting. During your one-on-one consultation, your provider will let you know which areas will benefit the most from the procedure.

How do I know if I’m a good candidate for CoolSculpting?

Ideal CoolSculpting candidates are those who are looking to target specific, smaller areas of fat. “Pinchable” spots can be treated with a traditional CoolSculpting machine, while “non-pinchable” areas (such as saddlebags) work better with the CoolSmooth applicator.

You should also be in good overall health and close to your goal weight, as CoolSculpting is not a weight loss procedure. Treatment won’t dramatically move the number on the scale, but it can help you trim lingering trouble spots.

How long is recovery after CoolSculpting?

Because CoolSculpting is a nonsurgical procedure, there is no required recovery or downtime. You can return to work or school immediately after your session. Common side effects include slight bruising, swelling, or tenderness, but these issues are only temporary. Any discomfort can be easily treated with over-the-counter pain medication.

COVID-19 has changed many parts of our lives, but you don’t have to stop making plans for the future. CoolSculpting is an easy way to tone your body and restore your pre-quarantine confidence.
